30 Days of Thanks - Day 11

Posted by:  Wes

Wow what a crazy week!  It's weird because so often my final exam week is the week I am stressing so much, yet this year this week brought me the biggest exam of my college career (thank you Dr. Mannle and Criminal Justice Administration) and a 5 page paper due the very next day.  I believe I've had about 4 hours of the sleep in the last 2-3 days...but now it's over!

Today, as I so often am, I am thankful for my family.  Today started off badly, trying to write that paper into the early hours of the morning.  Once I turned it in at 9:00 however, it was like a weight lifted off my shoulders.  I told Samantha we were GOING to Ocha's for lunch (which was awesome as always).  Later on, Samantha and I were trying to figure out what to do for dinner, when we thought of calling my mom and dad to see what they were doing.  Well, it ended up that we all went to Cracker Barrel, which is pretty much the best place to eat ever.  It was fantastic because everyone was in such a great mood.  My dad, who is a TTU professor, had had an extremely and difficult week and was so happy, as was I, that it was finally over.  It felt so good to unwind with them and enjoy talking about school, life and laughing about silly things (like my dad eating a spoonful of apple butter).

So today, I am thankful for my family. Thank you so much for continuing to support and love Samantha and I.
