Wes and I are so thankful for this wonderful holiday. It is our first Thanksgiving as a married couple! We have had a great couple of days. Here's what went down:
Thursday, we hung out with the Lisic family. We had a huge crowd! Eric, Alex, Adam, Elizabeth, Evan, Linda, Eddie, Nancy, Wes, and me! Phew! We watched football and ate a marvelous turkey dinner. We were so stuffed. Then we watched the movie Super 8 - well half of it or so because the DVD from Redbox didn't work.:( But it was ok because we had to leave anyway...
Wes and Adam and my sisters and I went to Walmart at 10:00 p.m. to hit up some Black Friday deals! Walmart turned out to be a bust - no tv. There were so many people there and everyone was crazy! It was definitely interesting. Thankfully, my super wonderful husband stayed up and got us a brand new tv from Kmart! It is definitely awesome. He didn't even get home until 8:00 a.m.! Needless to say, he slept most of the day after that.
Today, Wes and I headed over to my family's house for Thanksgiving. We had another huge crowd - all my sisters, my mom and dad, Uncle Marty and Aunt Melissa, Jamie, Maddie, Thomas, Grandma, Dee and Papaw. Wow! It was so great to spend some time with everyone all together. We had a great time and ate way to much wonderful food of course.
Last, but not least, Wes and I spent some time just hanging out together (and Winston of course!) and watched Runaway Bride - my fave :) What a great couple of days! We have absolutely countless blessings to be thankful for and this holiday has been a terrific time to reflect on those. Thank you to God for giving us such a wonderful family and letting us have this time to spend with everybody!
